Description
Thank you for viewing my original art. ©Xueling Zou -
This is my 1st time I painted by with my left hand since I start having memories. My brush was not controlled the way I wanted like my right hand would. The result of this painting looks so different than my right hand work for sure. Please let me how you think? Thanks!

Love the quick and lively brush strokes in this painting for it gives the strong impression of movement as these 4 woman carrying baskets walk down this narrow city street. Love the colorful dress of the woman because it gives me the impression that they are a lively and joyful bunch - they are colorful and stand out from the subdued hues of the buildings and street. To me this shows an energetic and colorful slice of everyday life of these 4 woman. L/F

You are a very talented artist, Xueling! You paint with your soul, no matter what hand you use. This is an excellent impression!! V/f

Love the colors & feelings in this. Fantastic work! v/f. What the left hand work does is eliminate details, and for some works, that succeeds brilliantly!

Xueling, love your looseness, motion and colors. Isn't it wonderful to be ambidextrous. The left hand truly created a beautiful oil painting!!! v/f

Like you, I like to know exactly where my paint is going, in what quantity, and at what flow. Will I turn my wrist at the end of a stroke, or simple life? This was a new challenge for you, and it is EXCELLENT. It is not "better" than your other work, not "worse," but different. This is something I would like to see you do more! F & V

Amazing! I think my left hand would be useless but I'll have to try it out. This painting is just right.

This painting is more casual and less detailed, leaving more to the imagination and creates more interest for the viewer, a very brave effort - Appreciate your kind thoughts on 'Planet' thank you....Chris R

I think talent is talent! And you have it. About the closest I've come to challenging myself is to limit myself to a size 12 brush, paint with my glasses off or give myself only one hour on a piece. I can't imagine doing what you did. Hurray for you, Xueling. Very fresh and forceful...with grace.
